Priyanka Chopra Jonas has begun shooting for the Russo Brothers' next major international web-series, Citadel. Also starring Richard Madden, the series will be streamed on Amazon Prime. An Indian version helmed by Raj DK-Krishna Nidimoru has also been announced.
The shoot began in London, United Kingdom, with Chopra donning tactical gear for an intense action sequence. The actress was paired with actor Pedro Leandro for the sequence. Several fan accounts put out behind-the scenes-pictures from the sets.
The series was announced back in January 2020, before the pandemic brought a halt to all shooting schedules.
Madden is currently awaiting the release of a Marvel Cinematic Universe film The Eternals.
Having made her mark with the ABC series Quantico, Chopra Jonas has signed on for a few international projects. She is also expected to be part of The Matrix 4.
Citadel has been written by Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. They are also the executive producers along with Patrick Moran, Mike Larocca and the Russo brothers, who are known for co-directing some of Marvel’s biggest blockbusters including Avengers: Endgame (2019), one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
More recently, Chopra Jonas announced the first collaboration with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in Jee Le Zara.
