As per reports, Lokesh Kanagaraj has been signed to direct the first project under the banner which has been named Rain on Films.

Ten popular Tamil filmmakers, including Mani Ratnam, Shankar, AR Murugadoss and Mysskin, have joined forces to float a new production house. As per reports, the banner has been named Rain on Films.
The other directors involved are Vetrimaaran, Gautham Menon, Sasi, Vasanthabalan and Balaji Sakthivel. The name of the tenth filmmaker is yet to be revealed.
This is the first time in Tamil cinema that so many filmmakers have joined hands for such a venture. It’s interesting to note that Mani Ratnam, Shankar, AR Murugadoss, Mysskin and Vetrimaaran already have production houses of their own.
According to reports, Lokesh Kanagaraj has been signed to direct the first project backed by Rain on Films, which will star Suriya.
Lokesh is currently busy with the shoot of Kamal Haasan’s Vikram.
According to the industry grapevine, Rain on Films will consider making movies across all Southern languages.
