Seetimaarr, starring Gopichand and Tamannaah Bhatia, to be released in theatres on 3 September


The leads play kabbadi coaches in the Telugu sports drama, which has been directed by Sampath Nandi.

The Gopichand and Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer Seetimaarr (2021) is due to be released on 3 September in theatres.

Directed by Sampath Nandi, the Telugu sports drama was to have been released on 2 April, but due to the closure of theatres in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and the rest of the country, the film was postponed.

In the film, Gopichand plays the coach of the Andhra Pradesh kabaddi team while Bhatia's character, Jwala Reddy, is the coach of the Telangana team. Rohit Pathak plays Tiger Singh, the antagonist.

Seetimaarr features Digangana Suryavanshi, Bhumika Chawala, Apsara Rani, Rao Ramesh and Posani Krishna Murali.

The makers of the film, Srinivasaa Silver Screen, also released a new Kabaddi anthem as they announced the new release date.

Gopichand is currently filming for the Telugu film Pakka Commercial with Raashii Khanna. Bhatia will be seen in the upcoming Disney+ Hotstar film Maestro (2021), co-starring Nithiin and Nabha Natesh, where she takes on the role played by Tabu in the Hindi film Andhadhun (2018).

Seetimaarr is being produced by Srinivasaa Chhitturi and features Mani Sharma as music composer.
