Actor Yash Dasgupta and Ena Saha will be seen together in Shieladitya Moulik’s upcoming film Cheene Badam. The artistes will start shooting for the film on 16 September in and around Kolkata.
According to a report of The Times of India, an English daily, Cheene Badam is a contemporary love story that the audience will be able to relate to. "In today’s world, we are all addicted to our mobile phones and it affects relationships in a big way," said the director. "The human touch or the warmth in a relationship is missing today because of mobile phones as most of us consciously or unconsciously are addicted to them. The film revolves around this concept," he added.
In the film, Dasgupta plays Rishab, a youth who returns from abroad after finishing his studies. Conflicts arise between Rishab and Trishna (Saha), as the young man fails to strike balance between his personal and professional life.
Confirming the news, Dasgupta said, "I can’t divulge details as I am contract-bound. I have watched Sweater (2019), which Shieladitya has directed, and quite liked it. With Ena, I worked in SOS Kolkata (2020) so I am looking forward to working with her again."
