Shashank Shende will play the lead in first-time filmmaker Vinayak Bhikajirao Salve’s Marathi movie Jindagani.
Produced by Narmada Cinevision, the film will also see Vaishnavi Shinde in a pivotal role.
A statement from the makers said, “The film tells the story of the change a person goes through with the change in times.”
The makers have stated that they will release the film only on the big screen. Right now they are waiting for theatres to be re-opened in Maharashtra. Cinema halls in various states were recently re-opened after being shut due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit India earlier this year. Theatres in Maharashtra are expected to be opened in September.
Going by the poster of Jindagani, it is clear that Shende plays a poor man from a rural area.
The film features Savita Hande, Sushma Sinalkar, Smita Prabhu, Sayali Patil, Vinayak Salve, Pradeep Navale and Ganesh Sonavane.
