Abhishek Bachchan has been discharged from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital where he was treated for injuries on his right arm and fingers.
Bachchan was admitted during the weekend after he was reportedly injured during the shooting of the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Oththa Seruppu Size 7. A staffer manning the hospital's front desk told Cinestaan.com that he was discharged today.
The actor hasn't confirmed that he was a part of the film as yet.
Yesterday, Abhishek's father and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, sister Shweta Bachchan and daughter Aradhya Bachchan visited him in hospital.
Before being admitted, Abhishek was spotted at the airport on his return to Mumbai with his right arm bandaged and in a sling.
Oththa Seruppu Size 7 was a thriller directed by R Parthiban who also played the lead character of Masilamani. The Hindi remake will reportedly see Parthiban in the director’s chair again with Abhishek playing the protagonist.
Abhishek will also be seen in Dasvi along with Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur. His latest release was the movie The Big Bull (2021). Based on the life of the late stockbroker Harshad Mehta, the film was released on Disney+ Hotstar.
