Naseeruddin Shah, Tabu, Konkona Sensharma, Arjun Kapoor, Radhika Madan to star in Kuttey

Naseeruddin Shah, Tabu, Konkona Sensharma, Arjun Kapoor, Radhika Madan, Kumud Mishra and Shardul Bhardwaj are coming together for Vishal Bhardwaj's son Aasmaan’s directorial debut Kuttey (2022).

Vishal announced the film online with a quirky motion picture that shared the film’s details.  The poster features the ensemble cast with dogs heads, lined up against a wall. The gunshots in the theme music indicate that this isn’t going to be a happy family story.

The feature film will be co-produced by Vishal, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg and Rekha Bhardwaj. The film has been co-written by the father and son.

Bhushan Kumar of T-Series will be presenting the film and Gulzar will be penning the lyrics while Vishal will compose the music.

Aasmaan has previously directed the short films The Thief (2017) and Murder On The Deccan Express (2017). He has assisted his father on the films Kaminey (2009), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola (2013) and Pataakha (2018).

The majority of the cast has worked with Vishal before, though many of them will be assembled together for the first time in this feature. Kapoor, Mishra and Shardul will be working with Bhardwaj and company for the first time.

Kuttey is currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to go on the floors by the end of the year. No details have been revealed about the film's storyline.
