Akshay Kumar begins shooting for new film in London; see mahurat pic

Fresh on the heels of his latest film, Bell Bottom (2021), Akshay Kumar has already started working on his next project with the same producers and director Ranjit M Tewari. The team had the mahurat shot yesterday in London, England.

Produced by Pooja Entertainment, the film’s working title is Production No 41. The Bhagnani family was on hand for the clap shot, and they were joined by Tewari and Akshay, along with Chandrachur Singh and Sargun Mehta.

The film is rumoured to be a remake of the Tamil film Ratsasan (2018), which starred Vishnu Vishal.  The feature revolves around sub-inspector Arun Kumar, who once aspired to be a film director but instead joined the force after his father’s death. In the film, he tracks down a serial killer who murders young women.

The untitled feature also stars Rakul Preet Singh. The actress is yet to join the rest of her co-stars on the project.

The busy Akshay Kumar has already shot for Bachchan Pandey, Atrangi Re, Ram Setu and Raksha Bandhan this year. He is also awaiting the release of Sooryavanshi and Prithviraj which are already completed.
