Pratik Gandhi to star in short film produced by Guneet Monga titled Shimmy

The upcoming Sikhya project will be directed by Disha Niyonika Rindani, who wrote it along with Jai Mehta.

The very busy Pratik Gandhi has added yet another project to his schedule. The actor will star in the short film Shimmy produced by Guneet Monga’s Sikhya.

The project was announced today on social media by Monga, who also shared photographs of Gandhi and director Disha Niyonika Rindani.

Rindani has written the short film with Jai Mehta, who co-directed Gandhi in his breakthrough project Scam 1992 (2020) on SonyLIV. The rest of the details about the project are yet to be divulged.

Gandhi, who is also starring in the upcoming web-series Six Suspects, with Richa Chadha, tweeted, “There is no bigger joy for an actor then to be a part of a great story and be in a creative company (sic).”

The actor also plays an investigating officer in the adaptation of the Vikas Swarup book, which is being directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and co-produced by Ajay Devgn.

Gandhi has several projects in the pipeline, including the Hindi features Atithi Bhooto Bhava and Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan? with Taapsee Pannu, and the Gujarati film Vaahlam Jaao Ne with Deeksha Joshi.
