Sabka Sai trailer: Raj Arjun shines in the role of Sai Baba in this MX Player show

The teaser for MX Player’s Hindi web-series Sabka Sai gave a glimpse of the Sufi saint Sai Baba of Shirdi. The trailer for the show offers a proper introduction to the protagonist and also what one can expect from the show.

Sabka Sai explores the life of Sai Baba from the time he was a kid. The boy goes on to become a revered saint in Shirdi, a town in western Maharashtra, with his message of peace and oneness and his miraculous powers.

His growing popularity also makes him an enemy of the Hindu and Muslim priesthoods as well as the British government of the time. But this doesn’t deter Sai Baba who continues spreading kindness.

Although the show displays the saint's reported miraculous powers, the presentation doesn’t make it look outdated and the show appears like a product of 2021. Scenes like the ones in which Congress leader Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak is agitating against the British or Sai Baba is stopping a riot stand out.

Raj Arjun, who plays the titular character, looks the part. Marathi film actress Devika Daftardar is impressive as a follower of the baba from a rich family. The show also stars Gulki Joshi, Mohammad Samad, Aakash Sinha and Manoj Kolhatkar.
