Nikkhil Advani and Nikhil Gonsalves's series Mumbai Diaries 26/11, which is based on the trials and tribulations of medical professionals caught in the crossfire during the infamous 2008 attack, will be released on 9 September.

Starring Mohit Raina, Konkona Sensharma, Shreya Dhanwanthary and Tina Desai, it will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

The makers had released a teaser for the series in November 2020 on the 12th anniversary of the incident that resulted in the deaths of 178 people, including nine attackers.

At the launch of the teaser, Advani had said, "We Mumbaikars often discuss where we were on that fateful night when this devastating incident shook the entire city. There have been several shows and films centred on the incident, but no one has explored the doctors' side of it. With this medical drama, we aim to champion the human spirit in the face of unprecedented danger and celebrate the brave doctors who saved the day while keeping the sensitivity of the topic in mind [sic]"

The series is being backed by Emmay Entertainment and produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani. It was initially scheduled to be released in March 2021 but was postponed in view of the pandemic.
