Pratik Gandhi's next project, in which Hansal Mehta, T-Series, and Shaailesh R Singh are involved, has gone on the floors today. Titled Dedh Bigha Zameen, the film will tell the story of a 'common man and his uncommon circumstances'.
The first poster of the film, which was launched to mark the commencement of the shoot, depicts Gandhi's visage looming over a bustling township. While the setting of the film has not been revealed, Mehta, who is one of the producers, revealed that the first shooting schedule will take place in the city of Jhansi. The film is also being backed by T-Series, Karma Media Entertainment and Productions.

Directed by Pulkit, the film will also star Khushali Kumar. Announced a week ago, the film marks the return of the filmmaker, who was diagnosed with cancer. He last helmed the Rajkummar Rao-led series, Bose: Dead Or Alive (2017).
T-Series head Bhushan Kumar said, "The story of this film is simple yet very real. This is the film that millions of people of our country will resonate with. I am glad Shaailesh, Hansal Mehta and I are again collaborating on such an interesting subject."
Gandhi is also part of an untitled short film with Guneet Monga while having started work on Athithi Bhooto Bhava with Jackie Shroff and Sharmin Sehgal.
