If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, Salman Khan is likely to make his Telugu debut in the remake of the Malayalam blockbuster, which will star Chiranjeevi.
Multiple reports have confirmed that Khan has agreed to be part of the project. He’s expected to play the role essayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran in the original.
The makers are yet to make an announcement on whether they’ve signed Salman Khan.
The project, which went on the floors last week, marks filmmaker Mohan Raja’s return to Telugu cinema after two decades. He made his directorial debut with the Telugu comedy Hanuman Junction (2001).
“With the blessings of parents and well-wishers starting next journey, this time a Mega one. Getting set with an amazing team (sic)," wrote Mohan Raja.

Lucifer, starring Mohanlal, marked the directorial debut of Prithviraj.
Chiranjeevi currently awaits the release of his upcoming Telugu film, Acharya, in which he’s rumoured to be playing dual roles. The film is being directed by Koratala Siva.
