The logo of Mandar Kane Entertainment and Sparkles9 Media's Marathi over-the-top (OTT) platform Chitra Marathi has been unveiled by filmmaker Rajdutt and veteran actor Jayant Savarkar.

The makers have said that the platform will come out with as many as 10 original web-series after its launch. Apart from shows, movies and shorts, the platform will also showcase political, social and spiritual content.

Speaking about the platform, Mandar Kane said in a statement, “As the film industry came to a halt because of the lockdown, upcoming actors were left bereft of opportunities. We are coming up with this platform to give an opportunity to new and talented artistes. This platform will also not hold back when it comes to giving opportunities to people belonging to rural areas. We have taken this step to ensure that this OTT platform reaches newer heights. We are trying to bring out new and quality content for the audience pretty soon.”

Sameer Paulaste of Sparkles9 Media said the aim of this platform is to provide opportunities to new and experienced artistes and encourage the performing arts. "We are also determined to take the Marathi film industry to the global level. I hope the audience will appreciate the new and fresh subjects that we will be presenting in front of them,” he said.
