Filmmaker-actor Avinash Dhyani is all set for the release of his romantic film Sumeru, which will arrive in theatres on 1 October.
The project is his third directorial venture after 72 Hours (2019) and Saumya Ganesh (2020).
The Hindi film will star Dhyani, who has also written the screenplay, and Sanskriti Bhatt. This is their second film together after Saumya Ganesh.
Recently, makers unveiled the new poster of the film which features the two leads in a romantic pose.
The film revolves around two characters Bhanvar and Savi. Bhanvar is a young lad who has left everything in search of his father who died in an avalanche. Savi, on the other hand, is from an aristocratic family and comes to Harsil to tie the knot with her fiance.
The drama features Shagufta Ali, Suruchi Saklani, Abhishek Maindola, Prashil Rawat, Satish Sharma, Jeet Maila Gurung, Arvind Panwar and Madhavendra Singh Rawat.
Speaking about the film, Dhyani said: "Sumeru is a passionate romantic love story. Savi, who is planning her wedding, abandons everything and sets out on a voyage with Bhanvar Pratap Singh, the outcome of which is unknown. This is a sweet and innocent love story that audiences will experience in a Hindi film after a long time."
The film has been shot at locations such as Dehradun, Harsil, Mussoorie and Dhanaulti in Uttarakhand.
Sumeru is being produced under the banner of Padma Siddhi Films.
