Cinemasthan, the first OTT platform for content in Rajasthani languages, was launched on the eve of Independence Day on Saturday, 14 August.

Cinemasthan is a video-streaming platform initiated by the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF)'s Film Club.

The platform will focus on short films, music video albums, feature films, documentary films, animation and regional films from India and abroad.

Rajasthan's homegrown OTT platform was launched in the presence of young filmmakers and the media with actor Shaji Choudhary as the guest.

Dr KL Jain, secretary general of the Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was the chief guest at the event.

Somendra Harsh, founder, Cinemasthan, said, "Cinemasthan prioritizes the content of Rajasthan above all the content available. As of now, it is based on subscription-based video monetization or subscription video on demand (SVOD). In the near future, it will be available on pay-per-view (PPV) and later it will be available on advertisement-based VOD.

"In the next three months, Cinemasthan will be available with Rajasthan-based content like Mumal Mahindra, Dhola Maru and Jalal Bubna.”

Cinemasthan aims to offer the latest and popular movies along with knowledge-based content and provide a global platform to young and upcoming filmmakers.

Currently, the content available on the platform includes feature films Karmabai and Shubh Raatri, short films Maans, Pearl and Kokh, documentary films Mission Safeer and Malaan, Rajasthani music albums Goriya, Tara Ri Chundadi and Chaal Aapa Chala, and Hindi music albums Tenu Takda Rahu and Gwala.
