Tumhari Sulu (2018) director Suresh Triveni's next project with Abundantia Entertainment has gone on the floors. The film will reunite the director with Vidya Balan, lead actress of his directorial debut film. Vidya will be joined by Shefali Shah in the film.
The first poster for the film was released on the occasion of the project going on the floors. The poster captures a bird's eye view of the city of Mumbai, overlooking the iconic Bandra-Worli sea link.
The ensemble cast will include Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Gurpal Singh and Surya Kasibhatla (making his debut) with Manav Kaul in a special appearance.
Jalsa is written by Prajwal Chandrashekhar and Suresh Triveni, with dialogues by Hussain and Abbas Dalal.

The film is backed by Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. Abundantia has come on board to collaborate with Suresh Triveni on three projects.

The film marks the fourth collaboration between the two production houses after Baby (2015), Airlift (2016) and Sherni (2021).
