Potluck trailer: When an illness leads to a family reunion

The latest family series on SonyLIV features a patriarch who assembles his children in one place after a serious health scare.

Jatin Sial is Govind Shastri, who wishes to connect with his three grown-up children, as he is retired. His two married sons and daughter agree to his demands after he lands up in hospital, but is their father hiding something from them?

Shastri's wife Pramila (Kitu Gidwani) thinks he has gone crazy trying to assemble them all together. And once they are all under one roof, will it be one big happy family? The title of the show comes from the potluck meals planned by every member of the family.

Shikha Talsania, Cyrus Sahukar, Ira Dubey, Harman Singha, Saloni Khanna and Siddhant Karnick round out the cast.

Gidwani added, “When I heard the concept of Potluck and how hilarious it was going to be, especially coming from a name like Kunal Das Gupta, there was no turning back. I absolutely love comedy and so far I have never got the chance to show off my comedic skills, so I was very interested. From the cast to the makers, working with a real bunch of dynamic people was welcome. The concept, the writing, the direction, with a crazy mix of anecdotes, make it a relatable watch.”

The light-hearted drama is produced by Kunal Das Gupta, Pavneet Gakhal, Gaurav Lulla and Vivek Gupta. The series has been directed by Rajshree Ojha and written by Ashwin Lakshmi Narayan, Bharat Misra and Gaurav Lulla.
