Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar, Sonu Nigam join hands for ‘Hum Hindustani’


Produced by Dhamaka Records, the song brings together 15 artistes from the Hindi film industry.

As many as 15 personalities from the Hindi film industry have come together to lend their voices for the patriotic number ‘Hum Hindustani’ produced by Priyaank Sharma and Paras Mehta’s Dhamaka Records. 

These include singers Lata Mangeshkar, Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, Alka Yagnik, Shabbir Kumar, Ankit Tiwari and Anil Agarwal and performers Amitabh Bachchan, Padmini Kolhapure, Shraddha Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Shruti Haasan, Tara Sutaria, Siddhanth Kapoor and Jannat Zubair. 

The song has been written by Kashish Kumar who composed the music with Dilshaad Shabbir Shaikh. Anil Agarwal’s foundation Vedanta has supported the song. 

A statement from the makers said, “With ‘Hum Hindustani’, Dhamaka Records sets a new precedent by taking it up a notch with the first-ever collaboration of the biggest names! A star-studded song with the much-needed message of having faith, keeping hope and uniting in our fight against the pandemic. The patriotic track will definitely set the bar high!” 

Priyaank Sharma said, “The legendary actors and singers who have come together for the first time in this anthem will surely resonate with all and sundry in our emotions for the country and the world as a whole, uniting and spreading love and hope.” 

Paral Mehta added, “Team Dhamaka is honoured and can't wait to share this track with the world.” 

‘Hum Hindustani’ will be released on 13 August.
