Last month, Chaitanya joined the film’s team in Ladakh for the final schedule as a replacement for actor Vijay Sethupathi, who originally signed on to play the character. This movie will mark Chaitanya’s Hindi film debut.
Laal Singh Chaddha is the Indian adaptation of Tom Hanks’s Forrest Gump (1994). Naga Chaitanya will be seen playing a character based on Benjamin Buford Blue aka Bubba from the original film.
The team, as per reports, is shooting crucial war sequences in Ladakh. The current schedule will go on for 45 days.
Set to be released this December, Laal Singh Chaddha also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan. It is being directed by Advait Chandan.
