Takatak, the surprise hit of 2019, will have a sequel. Titled Takatak 2, the adult comedy will be directed by Milind Zumber Kavde, who helmed the first film, and produced by Omprakash Bhatt and Dhananjay Singh Masoom of Purple Bull Entertainment.
The cast is being kept under wraps.
Speaking about the sequel, Kavde said that the subject matter would be different from the first film. “It will prove to be a love story with a difference with visionary lyrics and brilliant music as its USP,” he said.
Kavde added that the makers were shouldering a bigger responsibility now. “The responsibility as a team is manifold while making the sequel, especially after the phenomenal success of Takatak. We have made an attempt to provide something that will be immensely liked besides being emotional, as well as appealing to all viewers and hence liked by everyone,” he said.
Kavde has written the story and the screenplay while the dialogues have been penned by Kiran Berad.
The title poster of the film, which is out, is a double entendre [translated]: “This time, it has grown bigger.”
