Shefali Shah to join Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh in Doctor G

Actor Shefali Shah will join Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh in the upcoming romantic medical comedy Doctor G.

To be directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, the film was announced in December 2020. 

Shah will be seen in the upcoming Netflix anthology Ajeeb Daastaans (2021). The actress was also part of the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Delhi Crime (2019). Shah will play the role of Dr Nandini, as announced by the makers of the film. 

Doctor G will mark the cinematic directorial debut of Kashyap, who helmed the Amazon Prime series Afsos (2020). Written by Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh, and Saurabh Bharat, the film will feature Khurrana as Dr Uday, while Singh will play the role of Dr Fatima. 

Produced by Junglee Pictures, Doctor G is yet to go on the floors. Shah has also signed on for a number of projects including Vipul Shah and Mozez Singh's medical thriller, Human, as well as Alia Bhatt's debut production, Darlings.
