Pushpa teaser: Allu Arjun is the king of the jungle in this high-octane thriller

The teaser of the upcoming Telugu action-thriller Pushpa has been unveiled on the occasion of actor Allu Arjun’s birthday.

The video, which has garnered more than 17.2 million views, introduces the character played by the actor — Pushpa Raj, the leader of a ragtag gang of red sandalwood smugglers. 

Packed with impressively staged slow-motion fight sequences — including a duel where Pushpa Raj takes on the authorities with both hands literally tied behind his back and a bag on his head — and breathtaking cinematography, the film, which was predominantly shot in forested areas, promises to be a high-octane action extravaganza.

The project, which is scheduled to be released in cinemas on 13 August, will be released in five languages.  

The film marks the third collaboration between Arjun and filmmaker Sukumar.
