Huma Qureshi reveals appearance of her character from Zack Snyder's Army Of The Dead

Actress Huma Qureshi has revealed the first look of her character from Zack Snyder's upcoming zombie apocalypse film Army Of The Dead. The actress will play the role of Geeta, a single mother, in the film. 

In her post, Qureshi wrote, "My heart bleeds as my country and my fellow Indians fight personal loss, hurt, pain and devastation every day because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I stand alongside them in sharing every bit with them."

Adding that she was sharing the poster as part of her 'duties as a professional'', Qureshi wrote, "With a heavy heart, however, in keeping with my duties as a professional, I share my work for all of you to view." 

The actress's on-screen daughter Kate will be played by Ella Purnell. Snyder shared posters of each of the key characters in the film on Thursday. 

The filmmaker had released the trailer for the film on 13 April. Featuring Dave Bautista, Ana De La Reguera, Omari Hardwick, Nora Arnezeder, Theo Rossi, Tig Notaro and Hiroyuki Sanada, among others, Army Of The Dead revolves around a group of fugitives who come together to plan a heist in a zombie-infested city. 

The project marks Snyder's return to the genre after his acclaimed directorial debut Dawn of the Dead (2004), which was a remake of George A Romero's 1978 horror classic of the same name.

The film will be streamed on Netflix from 21 May.
