The poster is set against the backdrop of the Bandra Worli-Sealink in Mumbai and features white doves in the background. Massey and Vijay feature prominently in the poster while Maniktala, Mishra, Shorey and Khedekar are also seen. Interestingly, Haroon is the only one illuminated in blue light, making his character stand out amongst the cast.
The feature film, which was shot in Mumbai on a start-to-finish schedule, is a remake of the Tamil film Maanagaram (2017). Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film starred Sri, Sundeep Kishan and Regina Cassandra.
The remake marks Vijay's Hindi debut. The National award-winner was slated to make his debut in the Aamir Khan-starrer Lal Singh Chaddha (2021), but he has reportedly left the project.
Santosh Sivan directed the Tamil film Inam (2014) last and is currently working on Mohanlal’s directorial debut Barroz (2021) as a cinematographer.
