Ajay Devgn’s freedom fighter character from SS Rajamouli’s RRR unveiled on birthday

The makers of Roudram Ranam Rudhiram (2021) had a special treat for fans of Ajay Devgn on his 52nd birthday yesterday. The actor has a special cameo in the magnum opus directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt.

A new short video reveals his character, a freedom fighter. In it, Devgn is cornered and surrounded by the British as they prepare to execute him. Instead of escaping, his character meets his fate head-on, gearing up for battle, even as he knows the end is near.

Set in 1920s India, the fictional period drama revolves around two historical figures, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR). The film features Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Shriya Saran and many others.

Roudram Ranam Rudhiram (2021) is due to be released on 13 October, where it will clash with another Ajay Devgn-starrer, Maidaan (2021), directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.
