Mithila Palkar will be making her Telugu debut in the upcoming remake of the Tamil romantic comedy Oh My Kadavule (2020). Palkar, who will be paired with Vishwak Sen, joined the sets on Friday in Hyderabad.
Palkar, who is popular for her work in films such as Muramba (2017), Karwaan (2018) and the Netflix film Tribhanga (2021), will play the role essayed by Ritika Singh in the original.
On Saturday, a picture from the sets of the film was shared by the film’s executive producer Vamsi Kaka on Instagram.
Released last year, Oh My Kadavule was directed by first-time filmmaker Ashwath Marimuthu. The hit film starred Ashok Selvan and Singh while Vijay Sethupathi played God in a cameo.
Oh My Kadavule is centred on Ashok Selvan, who is given another chance by God to save his marriage after he falls head over heels for another woman. Vani Bhojan played the second leading lady.
Ashwath will direct the remake as well. The makers are yet to reveal the rest of the cast and crew.
While Vishwak will play the lead role in the remake, filmmaker Tharun Bhascker has handled the dialogue. Vijay, as per sources, might reprise his role.
