Shooting commences for Goodbye, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna

The film is being directed by Vikas Bahl and co-produced by Balaji Telefilms and Reliance Entertainment.

Rashmika Mandanna has signed her second Hindi feature as she joins Amitabh Bachchan on Vikas Bahl’s Goodbye. Shooting for the film began on 2 April.

The feature film is being co-produced by Balaji Telefilms and Reliance Entertainment. Producer Ekta Kapoor made the announcement, stating that she had been waiting to work with Bachchan and had spent her whole childhood obsessing over him.

Madanna will make her Hindi debut with Shantanu Bagchi's Mission Majnu, a period spy film opposite Siddharth Malhotra. She was recently seen in the Karthi-starrer Sulthan (2021), making her Tamil debut as well.

Meanwhile, Bachchan announced on his blog that he had taken the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine even as he embarked on the new project. He said, “what shall transpire at the script read tomorrow morning with entire cast.. oh oh oh.. no we cannot all meet together in Janak [his home] .. fresh precautions by medical.. so Zoom Zindabad.. and the first day of shoot day after.. hell.. another fresh day of another venture and.. anxiety nervousness and the incapability of performance (sic).”

No details about the film’s plot have been shared as yet. Bahl, whose last film was the Anand Kumar biopic Super 30 (2019), is also working on the Zee5 web-series Sunflower.
