Narendra Firodia's LetsUpp acquires majority stake in YouTube channel Khaas Re TV

The channel, which was started by Sanjay Shridhar from Barshi, Solapur, has more than 2 lakh subscribers.

Narendra Firodia's regional language platform LetsUpp has acquired a majority stake in the YouTube channel Khaas Re TV.

LetsUpp is a hyperlocal infotainment app that gives regular updates on international, national, entertainment and sports news and has over 3 million subscribers. Khaas Re TV is a digital entertainment company known for creating comedy videos and songs. Its recent songs 'Usacha Ras' and 'Gavran Munde', which is the Marathi version of the Punjabi song 'Brown Munde', received more than 4 lakh and 2.6 million views on YouTube. 

Other than that, it has also collaborated with many Marathi stars for the promotion of their films. Popular Marathi actors such as Amey Wagh, Sai Tamhankar and  Ankush Chaudhari have done collaboration videos with Khaas Re TV, which was started by Sanjay Shridhar from Barshi, Solapur in 2017.

Firodia said, "Over the time YouTube channels have gained immense popularity and I feel that Khaas Re TV has the potential to become one of the topmost channels. My aim is also to make quality content for mass audiences. Along with this investment, I will also provide infrastructure and mentor them to create engaging content."

A few months ago, Firodia announced the launch of a new regional OTT platform, Letsflix Marathi, which will feature originals, movies, short films and documentaries.
