Coronavirus update: Randhir Kapoor tests positive for COVID-19, admitted to hospital

Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor is the latest Hindi film personality to test positive for COVID-19. The 74-year-old has been admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai and is said to be stable.
Dr Santosh Shetty, chief executive officer (CEO) and executive director of the hospital, said in a statement, “Veteran actor Shri Randhir Kapoor has been admitted to Kokilaben [Dhirubhai Ambani] Hospital on Wednesday for COVID treatment. His condition remains stable.”
Kapoor, the father of Karisma and Kareena Kapoor, was last seen in Indra Kumar’s Super Nani (2014), which starred Rekha and Sharman Joshi.
Last month, the artiste’s nephew, actor Ranbir Kapoor, had tested positive. He recovered after isolating himself at home.
Just yesterday, actor Kumud Mishra was admitted to a hospital in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh after testing positive for the coronavirus. He got infected while taking care of his mother who is also COVID-positive.
