John Abraham gets Nilesh Sahay to sign Harshvardhan Rane for action film

John Abraham has played a role in actor Harshvardhan Rane getting his first action film. Recently, producer Nilesh Sahay was looking for an actor to star in his upcoming action movie, which will go on the floors at the end of the year. Abraham, who is Sahay’s close friend, recommended Rane for the role. 

After signing Rane for the film, Sahay said in a statement, “John has one of the biggest fan bases in the action genre and I take his suggestions very seriously. He was right about Harsh. I have interacted with Harsh. He has a lot of pent up rage which I plan to unleash and show people he’s all set for action.” 

Sahay will reveal the director and the rest of the details at a later date. Talking about the female lead, he added, “It’s too early to say. However, we recently signed a co-management agreement with Runway Lifestyle to find and develop new talent for all our entire slate, so let’s see.” 

Glad to have landed the role in the film which is untitled for now, Rane said, “In Nilesh, I have found a filmmaker that lives, breaths and eats action. He’s the rare few who wants to take audiences on a different ride. I was blown by his vision on the subject and am looking forward to taking the audiences on an unforgettable ride.” 

Sahay has written and directed Squad (2020), which marks the debut of Rinzing Denzongpa, the son of veteran actor Danny Denzongpa. 

Sharing the reason for recommending Rane, Abraham said, “There are very few who understand action the way Nilesh does, I have seen parts of Squad and he has delivered what he promised. I suggested Harsh as he has the perfect balance to be a serious player in the action genre. He will blow everyone way.”
