The makers of Sardar Ka Grandson have released the first song from the film, which is yet another remix of a popular Punjabi track. But thankfully, this remix — which is a recreation of Manak-E's popular Punjabi song 'Dhoor' — has turned out to be good.
The video sees Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh shaking a leg to Punjabi beats. It's a typical baraat song where everyone seems to be dancing their heart out. The song opens with the lead pair getting ready for the baraat. Kapoor is then persuaded to dance by a kid who teaches him few bhangra steps. The lead pair are then seen grooving together.
The new version recreated by Tanishk Bagchi has retained the Punjabi spirit of the song. The dhol beats perfectly suit the Punjabi wedding setting. The song has been sung by Jass Manak, Manak-E and Nikhita Gandhi and they have done a really good job at matching the high energy of the song.
Overall, 'Jee Ni Karda' has all the ingredients for a perfect party number. Directed by Kaashvie Nair, Sardar Ka Grandson will be released on Netflix on 18 May.
Check out the song and let us know if you are keen on watching the film.
