After Netflix and Amazon Prime, Eros Now is set to produce an anthology film. Titled Aisa Waisa Pyaar, the film will comprise four short segments that chronicle the journey of four couples with their own distinct definitions of love.
The project is currently in the post-production phase. Aisa Waisa Pyaar has an ensemble cast, which comprises Saqib Saleem, Nidhi Singh, Prit Kamani, Ahsaas Channa, Adah Sharma, Taaha Shah, Rajit Kapur and Sheeba Chaddha. But unlike all the previous anthologies where each short film was directed by a different director, all four films in Aisa Waisa Pyaar have been directed by Ashiish Patil.
One of the stories revolves around Kajal and Faizaan who are set to explore whether the notion that a man and woman can never be best friends still holds true. The second segment narrates a story about a young woman who lost her childhood sweetheart to cancer and in between her sorrow finds a reason to give love another chance. The third story is about Sunita and Mahendra, a couple celebrating 40 years of marriage. The fourth narrative is of a married couple Jasmine and Jaspal. They love each other very much but can’t live with each other since their personalities are dissimilar.
Last year, the streaming platform had announced 46 new titles, including 33 film premiers and 13 original series.
