Marathi actor Kishore Nandlaskar, who appeared in blockbusters such as Vaastav (1999), Singham (2011) and Simmba (2018) — apart from several other popular Hindi and Marathi films, died on Tuesday afternoon due to COVID-19 complications. He was 81.
The actor had been admitted to a COVID centre in Thane two weeks ago.
Nandlaskar's grandson Anish, told ABP News that the veteran was having trouble breathing and talking before being admitted to the COVID centre. His oxygen level had also fallen significantly.
Nandlaskar, a veteran of Marathi cinema and serials, has appeared in more than 30 Hindi and Marathi films as well as over 40 plays.
The actor made his Marathi cinema debut with Ina Mina Dika (1989). Some of his memorable works include Shejari Shejari (1990), Halad Rusli Kunku Hasla (1991), Shame To Shame (1993) and Lapandav (1993).
The actor's maiden Hindi film was Mahesh Manjrekar's Vaastav. He went on to play noteworthy character roles in Hindi films such as Kurukshetra (2000), Hatyaa (2002) and Khakee (2004).
