Kathmandu Connection is the first time composer Sneha Khanwalkar has scored the music for a thriller with the song ‘Syaah’. The web-series, which deals with the subject of terrorism, will be streamed on SonyLIV from 23 April.

Speaking about her experience, Khanwalkar said in a statement, “It’s a different experience to compose music for a thriller. For such a fast-paced story like Kathmandu Connection, the music had to be in resonance with the plot of the show yet impactful and melodious.”

Sharing some info about the song she has composed, Khanwalkar said, “‘Syaah’ reflects the myriad complexities the characters encounter in the series and I hope it manages to strike a chord with the viewers.”

Khanwalkar has been scoring music in Hindi cinema since the mid-2000s. Her biggest claim to fame is Anurag Kashyap’s acclaimed crime drama Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012). The unusual music of the film played a significant role in its popularity.

Directed by Sachin Pathak, Kathmandu Connection is about three mysterious incidents that lead the investigators to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, and a person known as Sunny. The shows sees Amit Sial as the lead investigator while Aksha Pardasany plays a television journalist who gets stalked.
