Abhijeet Panse’s web-series debut with Planet Marathi to have the ‘biggest budget’

After making films like Rege (2015) and Thackeray (2019), Abhijeet Panse will direct a Marathi web-series for the Planet Marathi over-the-top (OTT) platform. For this project, which is untitled as yet, Akshay Bardapurkar of Planet Marathi will be joining hands with Anita Palande’s Ravan Future Productions.

While making an announcement about the project, the makers did not reveal the cast but have said the show would be 'bold' and that a lot of artistes from the Marathi arena have expressed their desire to be a part of it.

The web-series will go live on Planet Marathi in June or July this year while the trailer will be unveiled during the launch of the OTT platform in the near future.

Speaking about Panse’s association with him, Bardapurkar said in a statement, “Abhijeet Panse is getting into the web-series zone with this show. I am happy that we are bringing the biggest budget Marathi show to the audience.”

He added, “We will ensure that this web-series and its execution will be on a large scale. But our efforts to do this won’t be limited to this web-series alone. This will be applicable to all types of content on Planet Marathi. All shows on this OTT platform will be different and have something special. We are sure the shows will reach a wide range of audience and won’t be limited to Marathi alone.”
