Tanuj Virwani to join cast of Voot's Illegal Season 2

Inside Edge actor Tanuj Virwani has joined the cast of Voot Select's critically acclaimed courtroom drama Illegal Season 2. The actor will essay the role of a venture capitalist and Neha Sharma's love interest.

The upcoming season will also see Piyush Mishra and Akshay Oberoi reprising their roles as lawyers.

Speaking about joining the show, Virwani said, "I have watched the first season of Illegal, and the plot, the performances and the sheer passion of the actors completely blew my mind. So naturally, when I was offered a chance to join the cast and share screen space with a stalwart like Piyush Mishra and phenomenal actors like Neha, Akshay and Satyadeep, I did not need to contemplate it at all."

He added, "The courtroom drama genre is new to me, and it seems extremely interesting. I make an entry as a venture capitalist, in a cast full of lawyers. I am really looking forward to seeing how that dynamic pans out on the screen."

The first season, which was helmed by Sahir Raza and written by Reshu Nath, dealt with topics such as sexual harassment and the death penalty.
