Takatak 2 goes on floors in Goa; Prathamesh Parab, Pranali Bhalerao retained from first film

The makers of Takatak 2 have revealed that Prathamesh Parab, Pranali Bhalerao and Bharat Ganeshpure will reprise their roles from the first film. 

The sequel will feature Akshay Kelkar, Ajinkya Raut, Bhumika Kadam, Komal Bodkhe and Asha Shelar. 

The makers made the announcement yesterday as the film went on floors in Goa after a mahurat on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. Film shoots have been prohibited in Maharashtra because of the COVID-19 pandemic but there are no such restrictions in Goa. 

Producers Omprakash Bhatt and Dhananjay Singh Masoom from Purple Bull Entertainment said in a joint statement, “Not only has Milind Kavde written the gem of an idea for the film, but also the story as well as the screenplay. Kiran Berad has penned interesting and humorous dialogues.” 

Milind Zumber Kavde has said that with Takatak 2 he would create a product that would not only entertain the audience but also educate them through a sugar-coated message. 

Released in 2019, Takatak went onto become a surprise hit.
