Sharvani Pillai turns producer with upcoming web-series Varde Aani Sons

Actress and writer Sharvani Pillai will try her hand at production with the upcoming web-series Varde Aani Sons. Helmed by Lokesh Gupte, it will star Abhijeet Khandkekar, Upendra Limaye and Resham Shrivardhan and will be streamed on the Planet Marathi OTT platform.

The actress has launched a new production banner, Palette Motion Pictures, in partnership with director Sushrut Bhagwat, and Varde Aani Sons will be their first series under the newly launched banner. Pillai and Bhagwat have been working together since his directorial debut A Paying Ghost (2015). Pillai not only wrote the screenplay of the film but also played an important supporting character. Their upcoming film, the unusually titled 8 Don 75, is currently in the post-production phase and will be released soon.

Along with Palette Motion Pictures, Varde Aani Sons will also be co-produced by Udaharnarth Nirmit and Viplava Entertainment LLP.

Speaking about their collaboration, Bhagwat said in a statement, "We have previously made few advertisements under our production house Palette Motion Pictures. We felt that to make megaprojects in the Marathi film industry we need to bring together multiple sources and people and therefore Pillai, Santosh Gujrathi, Vikas Hande and I came together to produce this series".
