Bombay high court orders halt to demolition of Kangana Ranaut's office premises

The Bombay high court put a stop to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's demolition of the allegedly illegal encroachments in actress Kangana Ranaut's Pali Hill bungalow.
The court order came in response to a plea filed by Ranaut. The matter will be heard by the court at 3pm tomorrow.
The BMC had started demolition work at Ranaut's property in Mumbai's tony Pali Hill neighbourhood at 11am today. The corporation had served the actress a notice regarding 14 allegedly illegal alterations to the bungalow, which holds both her office and residence, yesterday. After 24 hours, the corporation began the demolition work.
The actress denied the allegations of having made any illegal alterations to the property and implied that the demolition was the result of her ongoing spat with the Shiv Sena, which heads the ruling coalition in Maharashtra.
