The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), a central police agency, has arrested Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik and Samuel Miranda, house manager of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, in connection with his death.
Both men were arrested under various sections of the stringent Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. They will be presented in court tomorrow.
Earlier in the day, the residences of both Showik Chakraborty and Miranda were raided by NCB officers.
Some reports said Showik had admitted to being in touch with drug peddlers in the city. The NCB has already arrested two alleged drug peddlers in the case.
Reports also suggest that the NCB has not yet summoned Rhea, Rajput’s girlfriend, for questioning.
Rajput’s death is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) following a Supreme Court order last month. The CBI called the NCB in after finding a possible drug angle to the case.
Rajput died, purportedly by suicide, in his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai, on 14 June.
