Vedantu, an online tutoring platform, has signed Aamir Khan as its brand ambassador. The actor will feature in six-ad film series conceptualized by advertising agency The Script Room.
The ad campaign which has a simple tagline 'Samaj Aayega toh Maza Ayega, Maza Ayega toh Samajh Ayega' will see Khan as a hands-on father, who is now been made redundant thanks to Vedantu. Interestingly, BYJU'S, another online learning platform, has actor Shah Rukh Khan as its brand ambassador.
Prasoon Pandey, a renowned ad film director, has directed these ad campaign videos. Talking about the campaign, he said, “The moment Ramsam (The Script Room co-founder Rajesh Ramaswamy) narrated the core idea to me I knew I wanted to be part of the team working on it. That a father would get jealous of the bond developing between his children and Vedantu made for a charming and endearing human story."
The duration of these films ranges from 20 to 50 seconds and they will be released on 46 television channels as well as digital and OTT platforms.
Talking about the ad campaign, Ramaswamy said, "Our idea was to convert all the fantastic features and benefits of Vedantu into interesting slice-of-life stories rooted in some fundamental, easy-to-relate contexts. In fact, the Vedantu team, Prasoon and Aamir were more like partners and collaborators on this project. We had a blast making this. It’s a joy to see Prasoon and Aamir together. So enthusiastic and full of ideas.”
Meanwhile, Khan is currently shooting for his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha (2021). The film is a remake of the 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump, which starred Tom Hanks. Khan will be seen opposite Kareena Kapoor in the film.
