Four popular Tamil filmmakers – Gautham Menon, Nalan Kumaraswamy, AL Vijay and Venkat Prabhu – are joining hands for a love anthology titled Kutti Love Story. Produced by Ishari Ganesh, the project is speculated to have been shot during lockdown.

Menon took to Twitter to launch the film’s promo. He tweeted: “Extremely happy to join hands with VelsFilmIntl and my fellow filmmakers for the anthology KuttiLoveStory (sic).”

In a statement, producer Isari Ganesh said: “As an audience, I have admired the poetic, voguish and emotional dimension of love that Gautham Vasudev Menon, Venkat Prabhu, Vijay and Nalan Kumarasamy have crafted and portrayed in their films. In fact, they have created a huge fan base for such beautiful renditions. I am extremely happy, collaborating with these great filmmakers and curiously looking forward to experiencing the final product. We will be soon making announcements on the cast and crew.”

Menon recently completed filming Tamil action-thriller Joshua: Imai Pol Kaakha (2020) for producer Ganesh. He is also awaiting the release of Tamil espionage thriller Dhruva Natchathiram (2020), which stars Vikram in the title role.

Vijay, on the other hand, is busy with the upcoming J Jayalalithaa biopic, Thalaivi (2020) starring Kangana Ranaut. More than half of the project has already been shot. The film went on the floors earlier this year on Jayalalithaa's birth anniversary.

Venkat Prabhu is gearing up to begin work on his upcoming Tamil project Manaadu featuring Simbu.
