Aamir Khan's Marathi teacher Suhas Limaye died yesterday. The 75-year-old was admitted to the Saifee hospital at Charni Road in South Mumbai with COVID-19.
Khan, who took Marathi lessons from Limaye, penned a heartfelt note for his teacher on hearing of his death.
"Sir, you have been one of the best teachers. I have enjoyed every moment that I spent with you. Your curiosity and your desire to learn and share is what made you the fantastic teacher that you have always been. The four years we spent together have been the most memorable. Every moment that we have spent together is etched in my memory. You taught me not just Marathi but about so many other things too," the star wrote.

Limaye, a Sanskrit and Marathi teacher, was principal of the Prabhu Seminary School in Girgaum in South Mumbai. He has co-authored books like My Marathi – Textbook and Workbook for Communicative Marathi.
Aamir Khan is currently shooting in Turkey for his forthcoming project Laal Singh Chaddha (2021), an official remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump (1994), starring Tom Hanks.
