Dr Jalil Parkar told the Indian Express newspaper earlier in the morning, “He died around half an hour back. He was COVID-positive. He had heart disease, hypertension and Alzheimer’s disease.”
Ehsan and Aslam Khan were admitted together to Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital on 15 August after complaining of breathlessness. Both tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
They were kept on artificial breathing support after their oxygen saturation levels dropped below 80%. Both were already suffering from diabetes and hypertension. Ehsan Khan also had Alzheimer’s.
