Kannada actress and producer Sharmiela Mandre, who was last seen on the big screen in Mass Leader (2017), revealed today that she and her family members have tested for the novel coronavirus with mild symptoms.
All of them have been quarantined at home and are undergoing treatment for their symptoms.
“Hi everybody. Me and a few of my family members have tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms and hence chosen to be in home isolation. I have quarantined myself and going through the prescribed treatment as per my doctor’s advice (sic),” she tweeted.

Mandre made her acting debut with the 2007 Kannada film Sajni. Some of her other popular films are Navagraha (2008), Swayamvara (2010), Mirattal (2012) and Kevvu Kekka (2013).
She turned producer with the Tamil film Evanukku Engeyo Matcham Irukku (2018), a remake of the Telugu comedy Guntur Talkies (2016). Two of her Tamil productions, Sandakari and Naanum Single Thaan, are awaiting release.
On the acting front, Mandre has two projects in her kitty — the Kannada films Mysore Masala: The UFO Incident and Gaalipata 2.
