Mangesh Joshi's Karkhanisanchi Waari to be screened at 33rd Tokyo International Film Festival


The film stars Amey Wagh, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Geetanjali Kulkarni and Mohan Agashe.

Director Mangesh Joshi's upcoming drama Karkhanisanchi Waari has been officially selected for the 33rd Tokyo International Film Festival. The movie's world premiere will take place at the festival, which is being held from 31 October to 9 November 2020.

The filmmaker shared the news on Facebook.

The film features an ensemble cast comprising Amey Wagh, Mohan Agashe, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Pradeep Joshi, Ajit Abhyankar, Pradeep Welankar, Vandana Gupte, Shubhangi Gokhale, Pradeep Velankar, Bhushan Manjule and Sumit Sanghamitra.

From the poster, Karkhanisanchi Waari seems to be a road movie featuring three old men, a middle-aged woman and a young man who don't look too happy. Joshi has also written the screenplay along with Archana Borhade, who has also shot the film. Karkhanisanchi Waari is Joshi's second film after the critically acclaimed Lathe Joshi (2018).
