John Abraham sports rustic look for Satyameva Jayate 2 poster

John Abraham's upcoming action extravaganza Satyameva Jayate 2 will hit the big screen on Eid, a date when one almost always sees a Salman Khan film release. Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film is scheduled for release on 12 May 2021. It will also feature Divya Khosla Kumar in a major role.

The latest poster of the film features John bleeding the Indian colours, quite literally. The actor sports a handlebar moustache while carrying a plough, hinting that the superstar will be playing a more rooted, rustic character in the sequel. 

Directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kishan Kumar, Monisha Advani and Nikkhil Advani, the film hit rough weather with the COVID-19 lockdown. However, script discussions restarted in June this year.

Where the first film tackled the issue of police corruption, the sequel will throw light on the rot in multiple spheres of industry and politics and will be set in the city of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.
