Dhairya Karwa to star in Shakun Batra's next film?


The yet-untitled film stars Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi

Actor Dhairya Karwa may have landed a role in Shakun Batra's upcoming untitled film. Though there has been no official confirmation in this regard from the producers, the film's leading lady Deepika Padukone's latest Instagram Story hints at his involvement in the project. 

On Friday, Padukone shared a picture on Instagram Stories captioned "3 days to go". The tags that accompany the post link it to Batra's project. Along with the Dharma Productions, Batra, and co-stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday, Padukone also tagged Karwa.

Padukone is in Goa to shoot for Batra's film. A shoot in Sri Lanka was initially scheduled but it had to be called off owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

Karwa shot to fame with his small but significant role in Aditya Dhar's Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) where he played the role of Captain Sartaj Singh Chandok, a senior Indian Army officer. Karwa is also playing a major role in Kabir Khan's 83 (2020), a retelling of India's 1983's historic Cricket World Cup victory. The actor will be essay the role of Indian all-rounder Ravi Shastri.

Batra's untitled film is due to be released on 12 February 2021.
