Exclusive: Abir Sengupta shot web-series with Adah Sharma in 10 days

Abir Sengupta, who recently directed Adah Sharma in the short film SoulSathi, has also made an untitled web-series with the actress.

Sharing this information while speaking to Cinestaan.com about SoulSathi, which depicts a woman's struggle to find a suitable groom, Sengupta said, “There is another web-series that is going to come on MX Player. It also has Adah Sharma. We shot it before the lockdown.”

Incredibly, Sengupta shot the entire web-series in just a little more than a week. “We shot it in very little time," the filmmaker said. "It has been shot over a period of just 10 days. We obviously put our heart and soul into it and the story we wanted to tell.”

Post-production work on the web-series and on SoulSathi, which was released on Eros Now on 14 September, happened during the lockdown. “Post-production work was going on [in the lockdown]," Sengupta said. "There was so much of post-production work that I didn’t realize where these five or six months went.”

Sengupta has also shot his first Hindi feature film, Indoo Ki Jawani (2020), in which Kiara Advani plays the titular character. The first song from the film ‘Hasina Pagal Deewani’ was released online on Wednesday.
